Catechism of this academic year was inaugurated on 5th June 2016, during the &.45 a.m. mass. Meaningful liturgy was conducted by the children together with the teachers. At the inauguration, as a sign of imparting faith education to the children Fr. Jesudas, the parish priest lighted a candle from the Pascal Candle and handed over to the teachers. Teachers then lit the candles of the children to show their responsibility in teaching catechism. Then children placed their lighted candles at the altar. Rev Fr. Ronald Pinto, the missionary of Same diocese was present as the main celebrant.
