Dec. 30: Gantalkatte is in the news as it marks the Silver Jubilee Year of its establishment with variety of programmes and competitions. A ward-wise konkani dance competition was organised  on 30-12-2012 in the Nithyadar Sabha Bhavan. All the Five wards presented spectacular dances. Each ward presented three dances each in all the three categories.Pratap Menezes- a reknowned dance teacher,Rupesh Kumar-the owner of Top Entertainers Dance classes,Sr. Philomena of Mount Rosary Hospital were the judges for the competition. Along with the parish clergy,Fr Henry Moras-a carmelite priest witnessed the event. A large number of parishners enjoyed the show as audience.
